We offer opportunities to train in both the London and Newcastle offices. When you’re not studying, your knowledge is consolidated by the challenging practical experience you gain in your role as Assistant Auditor.

Once qualified, you can either stay in Financial Audit, specialise in our Value-For-Money work or combine the two. Depending on your work performance, we may offer you a permanent contract as an Audit Principal; after this stage, promotion is based on merit and may bring opportunities to work abroad, or for secondment in the public or private sector.

We are one of very few organisations outside the private sector to offer graduates training towards the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) qualification. Our three-year professional training programme is built around short block release periods, spent at college full time, on full pay, with full funding for all course fees and materials.

To join us you will need to have, or expect to obtain:

• At least a 2:1 honours degree in any discipline
• ‘A’ levels or Highers worth at least 24 UCAS points, 300 under new tariff (or Distinctions in BTEC, SCOTVEC, HNC/HND)
• GCSE/‘O’level passes in English Language and Mathematics
